Class Description

Come learn the beautiful art of natural dyes in this two-hour class on bundle dyeing.  Bundle dyeing is one of the easiest of the natural dye methods and is perfect for any skill level.  In this class, we will create one-of-a-kind silk scarves using natural dye materials.  We will go over proper fabric pretreatment, bundle dye techniques, and how to care for your finished piece.  You will leave with your very own wearable silk art.  All supplies will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own flowers to work with.  Have a Valentine’s bouquet that is on it’s last legs?  Bring it!  While not all flowers will create a lasting dye, we can evaluate what you have and I’ll guide you one what’s possible with what you have.
