Learn techniques to upcycle clothing, accessories, and decor. We’ll have new projects rotating each month that feature repurposed clothing, creative reuse, embroidery techniques, sewing classes, pattern reading, and exploration of the slow fashion movement (an antidote to fast fashion).
Walk away with a new piece or have fun embellishing your current wardrobe.
Also visit our mending station for tips and tricks with garment repair.
This session is great for both individuals and groups.
INDIVIDUAL SESSION: $25-45PP (based on materials used)
GROUP SESSIONS: Same as above with a group discount of 15% for groups of six or more. We can accommodate up to 25 participants at once.

Learn to crochet…yarn types, the language of patterns, and technique. Learn a new skill in a fun, safe space. Leave with your very own granny square…the jumping off point to MANY crochet project options. Instructor: Lori. $23PP, includes supplies.

Summer Studio Series - Foraged Beach Art
Spend time at the beach combing for treasures. We provide a list of items to find and collection tools. Then, bring back your treasures and learn fun ways to turn them into art. This session can take between 1-3 hours, depending on the project you choose.
Age recommendation: All ages
(anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times)
Skill level: All welcome

Beginning Photography for Adults & Teens
This session is designed for those new to SLR/DSLR photography or wanting to demystify their cameras. You’ll learn all about camera functions, menus, settings, and how to work with light. Students will gain insight to camera basics and given practical tips for photographic composition. Learn to take better photographs for personal use or jumpstart a photographic hobby to the next level.

One of our favorite classes! Learn to work with wool and felt to create 3D objects, adorable animals, beads, jewelry/wearables, and decorative shapes.
Age recommendation: Adults
IMPORTANT NOTE: Needle felting can be a fun collab with kids, but we do not allow anyone under the ages of 18 to handle felting needles. They are incredibly sharp and the practice requires dexterity and concentration.
Skill level: All welcome

Learn how to combine content with imagery in a FUN journal style—work for daily, weekly, or occasional journal practice. Also GREAT for repurposing old books and passports. Those familiar with journaling will get some new ideas for materials and processes.
WHAT TO BRING: An specific books, journals, old passports, or bound booklets to create your journal. We will supply everything you need to get started, but you are welcome to bring in any sort of material or ephemera (like ticket stubs, napkins, flat art, leaves and flowers, buttons, notes, stamps, etc.)
Cost: $40/PP (per session, participants can repeat this class as desired)

Join us in the Parlor Art Lounge for fun, quick projects and enjoy special weekly selections of tea, coffee, and treats.

Unwind, focus, and connect to your internal intentions with the process of stringing beads to create your own meditation mala. Choose from a few different styles and bead options.
What are meditation mala beads?
With a background and ties to spiritual practice, meditation, and prayer, these are strings of beads strung in a variety of size and length options, using different materials such as wood, stone, gemstones, leather, and adornments for unique meaning and focus. Strings of beads are intended to be worn/used by the maker personally. This course is offered to all and not tied to any specific spiritual practice or religious practice. But the maker may choose to create their mala with their own intent.
Cost: Necklace-length $65/PP (per strand), Bracelet length (up to 2), $45/PP.
Includes all materials and instruction.
